The BREC Guinea Pig Cage Rack Units are designed to provide the maximum flexibility and efficiency of group housing guinea pigs. Cages are constructed with an open-design; the top, and upper one-third of the back, sides and front are rod panels which allow maximum visibility of the animals and excellent lighting and ventilation of the interior of the cage. The lower two-thirds of the cage sides, back and door front are formed of stainless steel sheet which terminates at the bottom with wide baffles below the floor, proving effective control and deflection of urine, feces and wastes into the excreta pans. The two rack configurations, (four or eight cages), allow for the selection of the most efficient units for each facility. Individual cages can also be used as free standing units. The cages are interchangeable in any position on the rack. Racks are prepared for mounting optional automatic watering manifolds. During cage washing, the open design allows the cage washer spray direct access to all surfaces of the cage, insuring the highest efficiency of cage washing and sanitizing.

The top third of the walls and the ceilings are rod panel to allow maximum air flow and light to the animals. The removable floors are constructed of 20 gauge x 1/4" rounded edge flat wire space at 11/16" on center to allow for efficient removal of urine and feces and to allow the animal comfortable footing. The cage can be used as a stand alone unit or in racks. Casters are either copper-nickel-chrome plated or stainless steel with brakes, grease fittings, and gray or orange non-marking tires.
