Featherbed floors are constructed of expanded metal in aluminum, carbon steel or stainless steel. These floors are tripled dipped in polyvinyl chloride to provide 1/4" to 3/8" coating throughout the floor. Then they are oven baked to seal the finish and provide a tough outer coat that will withstand even the most abrasive of animal housing conditions. While the carbon steel floors are least expensive, we favor those constructed of aluminum because of their light weight, ease of handling and non-corrosive nature. Standard sizes are listed below. However, custom sizes are available upon request.
